hi guys i was wondering what is the best software to record halo on ?
i use fraps but it cuts the fps to half when i use it.

Use XSplit Broadcaster.It is the best record software.I use this to record on 720p 60 fps.you can record in 480p too.and ik fraps sucks .And need to download windowvideomaker to make a video and to edit the video.bla bla bla.

The Xbox app in Windows 10 (not sure if it's built in to Windows 10 or just downloadable from the store) includes a decent Game DVR mode that records in good quality. You can start/stop it whilst in a Halo game. You will need to customise the keys for it as it uses the Windows button as a default which obviously causes problems in game.
